Sending Your Crash Logs

If you have a problem with Tap Tap Send, especially if the app has crashed on you, it can greatly help us find the problem if you can send us your crash logs.

The following instructions are for iOS 15, other versions may vary slightly.

Manually email your crash logs directly from your device

  1. Open the Settings.app.
  2. Tap Privacy, then scroll down and tap Analytics & Improvements.
  3. Tap Analytics Data, and a list of log files is shown — they are ordered by filename, which uses the format: <AppName>_<DateTime>_<DeviceName>.
  4. Locate each log file that start with TapTapSend or com.eighteendegrees.taptapsend, and tap on the first one.
  5. Tap the Share icon at the top of the screen and email the crash log to Support AT TapTapSend DOT App.
  6. Repeat for each crash log.
  7. Finally, be sure to email us separately to explain the problem and let us know that the crash logs are yours.

Automate crash log reporting

All apps crash from time-to-time, and us app developers hate it just as much as you do. We like to head problems off at the pass, before they become big, but we can only do this if we know about them. Your iPhone can be set to automatically (and anonymously) send crash reports to us, but only if you let it. We highly recommend that you turn on automatic crash reporting. To do this:

  1. Open the Settings.app.
  2. Tap Privacy, then scroll down and tap Analytics & Improvements.
  3. Turn on Share iPhone Analytics (it may read Share iPhone & Watch Analytics or Share iPad Analytics).
  4. Then turn on Share With App Developers.
